A health awareness day in Croxteth organised by the Alt Valley Community Health Ambassador Team was a huge success.
More than 60 local residents turned up to seek help and advice from lots of different agencies including registered nurses conducting health checks, Citizens Advice regarding fuel bills, the Cass foundation doing a survey on what types of exercise sessions local residents would participate in, as well as a team of beauticians and massages from Alt Valley Community Trust.
Councillor Anthony Lavelle said: “The health awareness day in the Porchfield was a great event. Thanks to health ambassador Lynne Lacey who took a lead on it and made it happen. It’s really important that residents have regular health checks but also are doing practical things to keep healthy and that’s what today was about.”
