Dear All,
Firstly I want to reassure you that Liverpool City Council is doing all it can practically to support those who are most likely to be impacted by the Coronavirus situation.
We are working with the Combined Authority, local service providers, Central Government and other stakeholders to ensure that our great city comes through this crisis, and that we get back on a strong footing for recovery.
We will of course honour our commitment to you at this time and the priority is to help you stay in business.
In exchange for our continued support, we ask you to do all that you can to honour all existing agreed contracts – to employees and freelancers – and to think about how you can help the communities that you work with, particularly the most vulnerable.
As a city our resilience, commitment to social justice and inherent belief in doing the right thing have never been so important.
I want to offer my thanks to all of you who I know are already doing so much to both protect your employees and organisations.
Please stay in touch with us via our social media and web channels for all the latest information and support, and we will continue to communicate developments on a regular basis.
Liverpool’s businesses and communities will come through this crisis, we need to work together to ensure our future prosperity.
Best wishes,
Joe Anderson I Mayor of Liverpool
