Cake, coffee and a chat about consumer rights are on offer on Monday.
Liverpool Trading Standards are joining with Local Solutions in an event to mark International Older Persons Day on Monday 1 October.
Older people and mobility aid users are invited to the free event at the Local Solutions store in Liverpool One (near the car park) between 11am -2pm.
Trading Standards Officers will be providing advice and leaflets on issues surrounding mobility aids and there will be a competition to test knowledge of consumer rights with a prize to be won.
Councillor Tim Moore, city council cabinet member, said: “Mobility aids such as scooters, wheelchairs, riser chairs and stairlifts are often very expensive purchases and Trading Standards regularly deal with complaints and problems about the mis-selling of these items so we aim to raise awareness amongst consumers.”
