Orrell Park has had a spring clean, as part of the work being done by the Warbreck councillors to make the area cleaner and greener.
They have organised a series of regular community clean-ups throughout the ward to make it sparkle.
The Neighbourhood Action Team, Amey, Riverside’s Your Place team joined councillors and residents to litter pick, sweep the roads, pavements and alleyways, as well as cleaning Devonfield Gardens.
Community skips were provided and the Your Place team ensured the Poover was well used as every pavement in the area was cleansed.
Councillor Ann O’Byrne (pictured with some of the clean-up crew) said: “It’s always great to see so many residents supporting our community clean-up days and making use of the community skips. Lots of residents said today encouraged them to start their own Spring Cleaning!”
The clean-up day was funded by the Councillors’ Neighbourhood Fund.
