ACC Liverpool has scooped two Gold accolades in an industry recognised awards.
The venue, home to BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, received Best Conference Centre and Best Venue for Sustainability in Conference and Incentive Travel magazine’s (C&IT) annual ‘The Hot List.’
The awards celebrate the best UK and overseas venues, destinations and suppliers in the events industry, as voted for by C&IT readers.
ACC Liverpool received 50 per cent more votes than its closest competitor in the Best Conference Venue category, beating competition from The ICC, Birmingham and The Convention Centre Dublin.
It was acknowledged for its green credentials, including the venue’s in-house Environmental Task Force, with a Gold award in the category Best Venue for Sustainability, beating Bella Centre, Copenhagen, and The Convention Centre Dublin.
Bob Prattey, chief executive of ACC Liverpool, said: “These awards are a significant achievement as they are voted for by our clients.
“This is testament to the tenacity of our team and a reflection of all the hard work and high standards that we are maintaining.
“This goes for not just our own staff but also the region as a whole. We rely on and work closely with our city partners to ensure that all delegates and visitors who come to ACC Liverpool have a positive experience – from the transport systemto hotels to retail and leisure.
“We should all be extremely proud of these awards and we would like to thank the city region for its continued support.”
