Musicians from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will perform at a special event to mark National Carers Week in Liverpool.
The information day is being held at St George’s Hall on Lime Street on Tuesday 10 June from 10:30am – 3pm for people who care for friends, relatives and neighbours in Liverpool.
There will be demonstrations, advice, free therapies and pamper sessions. There will also be an opportunity to try cup cake decorating.
Deputy Mayor and Cabinet member for adult services and health, Councillor Roz Gladden, said: “Many people don’t even realise that they are classed as carers and could well be missing out on vital benefits and other types of support.
“This event is part of our commitment to making sure people get details of the help they are entitled to.”
There are an estimated 50,000 carers in Liverpool.
The event is organised by Local Solutions in partnership with Liverpool City Council.
