After a sell-out screening in February, Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool will be back in all its glory on the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall Walturdaw screen – on Wednesday 21 March 7.30pm.
Presented with support from Liverpool Film Office and Lionsgate UK, to celebrate the film’s DVD and Blu-ray launch, this special one-off screening will also give you the opportunity to see Peter Turner live on stage for a post-film Q&A – free for all ticket holders!
Based on Turner’s poignant memoirs, and with BAFTA-nominated performances from stars Jamie Bell and Annette Bening, this beautiful and moving story follows the love affair of eccentric Hollywood legend Gloria Grahame (Bening) and struggling young actor Peter Turner (Bell) in the 1970s. Years later, with the onset of illness, Bening comes to Liverpool to stay with Turner and his family, where memories of their romance resurface.
