Local businesses have attended an innovative event at Hope University to learn about dementia.
Councillor Jeremy Wolfson, who helped organise the event on Monday 30 November, declared it a huge success: “About 40 people attended, more than we expected, and the feedback has been brilliant. Many businesses want to learn more about dementia so they can improve their customer service.”
Speakers included Councillor Ruth Hirschfield, Councillor Gary Millar,Cabinet Member for Business, Enterprise and Investment and Roy Foden who gave a personal and uplifting view of his experience of living with dementia.
Jack Coutts who co-organised on behalf of Liverpool Dementia Action Alliance said: “The Childwall Councillors are to be congratulated for their achievement in bringing together so many local business people for this important neighbourhood event.
