Christmas craft fair

A Winter Craft Fair with a Christmas theme is the final event of the year at the Friday Morning Community Café, St David’s Church, Childwall.

The Friday Café was set up using some of the Childwall councillors – Frank Hont, Liz Parsons and Jeremy Wolfson  – Mayoral Neighbourhood Fund. It has run successfully for more than three years.  A monthly community event is held on the first Friday of each month.

The craft fair will be held on 2 December (10am to 12 noon) in the Gladstone Hall, St David’s Church, Rocky Lane/Queens Drive.

Councillor Parsons said: “It will be an opportunity to buy gifts from local artists and crafters- or you could have a go yourself with craft activities which are suitable for all ages. And, of course, you can get to know more people who live in your neighbourhood.”

As well as craft activities there will also be homemade cakes and sweets and toiletries to buy along with a free raffle. Father Christmas is also expected to make an appearance.

And the choir from Rudston Primary School will be performing festive songs.
