It’s festive lighting-up time in Hunt’s Cross.
On Friday 27 November the Hunts Cross Christmas Tree lights will be switched on by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool Councillor, Tony Concepcion, who will be joined by local Councillor Rachael O’Byrne while Father Christmas is expected to make an appearance.
The annual Christmas event will take place in the community garden on Speke Road from 3pm and will feature Hunts Cross Primary School choir singing carols, Father Christmas will be giving out treats and Councillors Dan Hughes, Sharon Connor and Rachael O’Byrne will be serving hot chocolate and mince pies!
Councillor O’Byrne said: “This is a great event that I enjoy organising. It’s great to bring the community together at this time of year as we switch on the lights of our beautiful tree.”
The event and Christmas Tree are funded by the Councillors’ Neighbourhood Fund and it is supported by Hunts Cross Primary School, LMH, Garston Rotary Club, Niblock Butchers, Hunts Cross Co-operative Supermarket, St Columba’s Church, St Hilda’s Church and Merseyside Police.
