The final event of the year for the monthly community events held at St David Church’s community café in Childwall, will be a Christmas social.
The Friday Café was set up using the Neighbourhood Fund allocation for local Councillors Ruth Hirschfield, Frank Hont and Jeremy Wolfson and has run successfully for more than two years.
On December 4 (10am – 12 noon) the event will include live music, mince pies and a visit from Father Christmas. The CADWA Social Club are supporting this event.
Councillor Wolfson said: “During this year we have had community events about a whole range of important topics including health, transport and surviving the winter.
“To round off the year off we are now having a social event where people can get into the festive spirit. All the events are very friendly and relaxed and open to the whole community.
“And we would welcome any ideas and suggestions for topics for future events.”
