A group of inspirational women from all walks of life will swap their stories at a special networking event at Liverpool Town Hall this week.
On Friday 27 March Lord Mayor Councillor Erica Kemp CBE will celebrate the achievements of local organisations such as the Women’s Organisation, who support women starting their own business, Safeplace, the sexual assault referral centre and Blackburne House who provide education and training to support women into jobs
Councillor Erica Kemp said: “It was great to be involved in so many activities this year for International Women’s Day and as Lord Mayor of this amazing city it’s fantastic that I can highlight one of the many roles that are available for women today.
“I am delighted to be welcoming so many strong and positive women here to the Town Hall, I hope they can learn from each other and benefit from sharing their experiences as a positive role model for women.
Councillor Emily Spurrell, Mayoral lead for Community Safety said: “‘There are so many organisations in Liverpool that provide valuable support to women whether it be starting their own business, mental health support or providing a safe space for women suffering domestic abuse.
“As a culmination of the campaigns and events which took place for International Women’s Day we just wanted to take a moment to say thank you and express how much we appreciate the work they do.”
