A communal green space in Aigburth has been spruced up in a special activity day.
Staff from Your Housing, Plus Dane’s INES team and the city council’s Neighbourhood Action and Hit teams took part in the clean-up at Bloomfield Green.
Footpaths were cleared, leafs collected, the monument in the Green’s centre was cleaned and there was new planting,
It is intended that there will be further clean-ups of the gardens in the area in the New Year.
Councillor Steve Munby, cabinet member for living environment and localism, who take part in the clean-up, said: “This is a communal area used by residents and I am sure they will appreciate the cleaner and tidy green space which has resulted from this day.”
