A Winter Survival Fuel Poverty awareness day is being held at Radio Merseyside on Hanover Street in Liverpool on Thursday 30 November from 10.30am – 1pm.
The event is free and will offer advice and support for vulnerable residents on issues such as health & wellbeing; staying warm; fuel poverty/debt; energy efficiency and grants, and claiming benefits.
There will also be details of who is eligible for the latest round of the Household Support Fund, such as low-income households, families with children or expecting a baby, and older people and those with a disability.
People who come along will also be able to apply for:
- Winter warmer packs which may consist of blankets, grip socks, hat/scarf/gloves, hot water bottle and thermal underwear.
- Larger Energy efficiency measures such as replacement boilers/repairs, radiator reflectors and draught excluders.
These offers are subject to meeting the criteria and having a home visit and survey, and living in the Liverpool City Council area.
The Council’s Healthy Homes Team will be giving away radiator keys to all attendees, subject to availability
