Community Awareness Day brings services and support to L8 residents

Residents in L8 are being invited to take part in a special Community Awareness Day on Thursday 9 October, which will showcase the wide range of services and support available in the area.

The free event, running from 10am to 3pm at the PAL Centre is being delivered by Liverpool City Council’s Neighbourhood Team in partnership with Merseyside Police and Savera UK, a leading charity working to end ‘honour’-based abuse (HBA) and harmful practices such as forced marriage, conversion ‘therapy’, and female genital mutilation.

The day will feature free food and refreshments, interactive sessions and activities, information stalls from local organisations, and opportunities to meet services offering advice and support

The aim is to raise awareness of what’s available to residents in L8, while also celebrating the strength and diversity of the local community.

The Community Awareness Day is part of the Council’s wider commitment to supporting neighbourhoods across Liverpool. Through the Neighbourhood Model, the Council is working closely with local partners, community groups and residents to improve wellbeing, tackle inequalities and make Liverpool a fairer and more inclusive city.

The event is open to all residents and completely free to attend.
