Liverpool at MIPIM’s private sector partners gathered this week for an event to reveal its new look stand for MIPIM Cannes 2015.
MIPIM Cannes, now in its 26th year, is the world’s leading property market event which brings together the most influential players from all the international property sectors. The 2015 event takes place between March 10 and 13.
This year Liverpool at MIPIM has taken inspiration from the creative energy and the many imaginative developments that are emerging and capturing the interest of occupiers in the city, to create a stand that will inspire and encourage conversation.
The open plan, contemporary stand will welcome visitors and engage them in conversations about the city, whilst animators take visual minutes from many of the meetings and speeches as they take place on the stand.
A number of partners will be speaking on the stand, discussing their projects and research and making business announcements as Liverpool once again steps into the international property spotlight.
This year sees the strongest delegation support to date with double the number of private sector sponsors compared to 2014.
Team Liverpool is led and project managed by Marketing Liverpool, part of Liverpool Vision, and is supported by a private sector steering group. This includes Ian Pollitt, development investment surveyor at Peel Land and Property, Colin Sinclair, director of property marketing at Bruntwood, Jeff Gillbanks, regional head of real estate at Brabners, Sean Beech, head of Deloitte’s Liverpool office and chair of MIPIM steering group and Chris Brown, director of Marketing Liverpool.
Marketing Liverpool’s Chris Brown explained: “The stand will provide an opportunity for partners and sponsors to showcase their activities and will be orientated around creating conversations between developing opportunities, investors and the city.”
Mayor Joe Anderson said: “The Liverpool presence at MIPIM has the clear backing of the vibrant private sector and we will do everything we can to help facilitate this. MIPIM is the perfect opportunity to tell the world about the Liverpool story with the underlying message to investors that the city is open for business.”
Sean Beech said: “The backing from the private sector for this year’s MIPIM delegation has been exceptional. We have a really strong theme for the stand and we believe it will really stand out and strike a chord with MIPIM visitors. Liverpool is a very creative city so why not celebrate it? We look forward to taking to the stand and sharing many conversations whilst out in Cannes this year.”
New sponsors this year include Arup, Active Profile, Chrysalis Fund, City Residential, Colliers International, Curtins Consulting, Falconer Chester Hall, Glenbrook Property, GVA, Innov8 Safety Solutions, ISG, KPMG, Liverpool Chamber, Liverpool John Moores University, Pochin Construction, Redrow, Morgan Sindall and University of Liverpool.
They join existing MIPIM Cannes sponsors Brabners, Bruntwood, Countryside Properties, Deloitte, Downing, Grosvenor, Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Liverpool BID and Peel.
