Amanda Moss, Director of Liverpool Fashion Week, said, “Liverpool is a hive of talented designers and I am delighted that the Council recognises this.
“The best and most innovative fashion brands will converge in Liverpool to preview their up and coming collections for fashion editors and retailers. We have a designers flying in from all over the world to showcase on the runway (notably USA,Spain and Pakistan). Why should London, New York and Milan set the tone for fashion? Liverpool FW is all about affordable fashion for everyone of all sizes and that is reflected in the models and designs you will see.
“It is a difficult industry to break into so hopefully this prize will help someone start u in business. And being based in Model101 is of added benefit because they will have in house advice offered to them in all aspects of PR and marketing their business as well.”
