Digital awareness event proves popular

An event at a church café in Childwall to help people become more digitally aware proved to be popular with local residents .

The Friday Café at St David’s Church which was set up using some of the Neighbourhood Fund allocation for local councillors Ruth Hirschfield,Frank Hont and Jeremy Wolfson has run successfully for more than two years and has introduced a monthly community event on the first Friday of each month.

Councillor Hirschfield, said: “It is increasingly important that everybody becomes digitally aware and we had a very good turnout with advice and information being given out in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.”

The main attraction was DIANE, a large motorhome, kitted out by Liverpool Mutual Homes (LMH)to help residents
