There is an opportunity for dog owners to have their pets microchipped for free.
Liverpool City Council has teamed up with the Dogs Trust who will be chipping dogs at Fazakerley Community Building, Formosa Drive on Wednesday 20 July(11am to 3pm).
It is now legally required for dogs to be micro chipped and failure to do so could result in the owner facing a £500 fine.
All dogs must be wearing a collar and a lead and have a handler present who is 18 years or over. Puppies, up to the age of six months, must be vaccinated, and should be carried.
