Energy deal deadline approaches

Merseyside residents are saving an average of £209 a year on their energy bills through the Merseyside Collective Switch.

Over 4,000 local residents joined the Merseyside Collective Switch to get a better deal on their energy bills, leading to exclusive energy offers being secured from suppliers.

Exclusive offers are available from British Gas, Scottish Power and Npower and include the cheapest fixed British Gas tariff which protects against any price rises until June 2015. These offers are available until midnight on 24th March.

The Switch Together, Save Together scheme is organised by local charity, Energy Projects Plus, together with the six Merseyside local authorities. It aims to reduce people’s energy bills through negotiating cheaper tariffs from energy suppliers and making it easier for people to switch.

Ellie Abernethy, Project Manager at Energy Projects Plus said, “We are really pleased with the level of response we have received so far. Over 600 people have already switched and are now saving an average of £209 a year on their energy bills. Some people have saved in excess of £500! The exclusive offers are still available for a few more days and we hope others will take a few minutes to explore how much they could save by switching”.

It is not too late to benefit from these exclusive deals.
