Flowers estate blossoms

The Flowers estate in Warbreck is looking cleaner and greener thanks to a community impact day.

Local residents joined LMH and Liverpool Street Scene to help clean up the neighbourhood. Community skips were well used and the community payback team helped clear gardens and litterpick across the area – with a total of 24 tonnes of waste being removed.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were also on hand to offer advice on home safety

But it was not all hard work as there was also a family fun day in the Citron Close Community Centre with a  barbecue and children  having great time in the play area and on the bouncy castle.

Fifteen lucky residents also won beautiful hanging baskets to brighten the neighbourhood.

Local Councillor Cheryl Harrison said: “It’s great to have such active partners in Warbreck that really get stuck in to helping make our community shine.

“We couldn’t do this without the support of the Flowers estate residents group who once again have been blooming marvellous!”
