In keeping with the Lovehistory fashion of bringing history to life, delve into the depths of history to expose the secrets of the night! A special horror themed homage to all those 19th century writers and film makers who made the Horror genre what it is today . . .

Children’s Ghost Hunt at Croxteth Hall
Until Sunday 27 October (10.30am to 4pm)
This is a fun event for younger visitors. Find all the ghosts in the rooms of Croxteth Hall; enter the letters on the worksheet provided to reveal the identity of a famous character associated with the Hall’s history. All correct entries will enter a prize draw.

Croxteth Farm Pumpkin Trail – on the Farm

Pumpkin carving workshop at Croxteth Country Park. Bring the children to thesecond l Pumpkin Trail ‘down on the Farm’. Its proved hugely popular with the youngsters so why not get into fancy Halloween costume and bring the family and enjoy spotting the pumpkins around Croxteth Home Farm, as well as seeing all the animals at close quarters.

Haunted Sleep Over at Croxteth Hall

You are invited to join ‘DeadLive’ in their annual Sleep-over at Croxteth Hall. Is the Hall really haunted ? Tales of hauntings. Vigils throughout the night. Paranormal investigation equipment. ‘Alone in the dark vigils’. We dare you to take part!! You will also be helping support Claire House Hospice charity.

Halloween Themed Murder Mystery Night
Saturday 26 October (7.30pm)
Lovehistory’s Murder Mystery Evening. The event will be held in the old library. Here you will ponder, speculate and try to catch the killer. As you cast the eye of suspicion at each suspect you will be entertained by a team of professional actors who will join you; some will help, some have secrets of their own to hide. You will interrogate them, question them until you begin to put the pieces together and ultimately identify the murderer!

October Spooky Halloween party with Jumping Jacks at the Palmhouse

The Ghost Busting team of Jumping Jacks will be partying at the Palm House, bringing lots of spooky fun and games for the little ones. Plus they can have their face painted with a scary mask, superhero or princess for a small charge; and some children’s favourite characters will be joining in on the action. Jumping Jacks is aimed at babies, toddlers and children up to six years.
