Hundreds of shoppers took the opportunity to get advice and information on health issues at a special event.
Around a dozen organisations, including the Royal Hospital, Age Concern, the community health ambassador team, Safe Place, Healthy homes and Merseyside Police were at the Tesco Store in Mather Avenue for a family health information day.
They offered advice on a range of issues including mental health, pharmacy issues, responsible drinking and dental health. Free health MOTs were also available.
And during the day seven people signed up to the organ donor register.
Councillor Richard Wenstone, said: “This was a very successful event with a large number of people getting advice and information on a wide range of health issues – and to have more people offering to be organ donors made it a very worthwhile occasion.”
