Want to get fit and have fun? On Friday 27 June World Museum Liverpool on William Brown Street will be holding a free, fun filled health extravaganza.
From 10am t0 4pm residents are invited to go along to the FREE event and learn more about health services available in the city and also how they can help to make Liverpool a healthier place.
There will be various health checks, advice and information and Radio Merseyside’s very own Roger Phillips will be hosting panel debates with the experts, followed by the opportunity for audience members to ask questions about health in the city
Anyone wanting to come along can also sign up for FREE and reduced cost fitness and weight loss activities, try out new and exciting health and wellbeing apps plus there will be free fruit, plenty of indoor and outdoor activities to suit all ages and live entertainment throughout the day including a performance by the ukulele orchestra of St Vincent’s School (a specialist school for children with sensory impairments) and live, on stage exercise classes. .
Deputy Mayor, Councillor Roz Gladden said: “This is a great opportunity for the public and our communities to come along to this free event to find out more about how to lead a healthier lifestyle.”
Chair of Liverpool CCG Dr Nadim Fazla added: “We want to make sure that people in Liverpool enjoy the same opportunities for good health as people in other regionsâ¦. This is about all of us taking responsibility for our health and we can make a real difference”
Radio Merseyside’s Sean Styles will also be live on air from the event.
Participants include Aintree Hospital, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, Liverpool Lifestyles Gyms, North West Ambulance Service, Liverpool Comedy Trust, National Museums Liverpool and a variety of departments from The Royal.
