History brought to life in Childwall

Liverpool’s gruesome criminal past is being brought to life during the latest event at St David’s Church Friday Café in Childwall.

The city’s premier theatrical events company, Lovehistory, who are famed for their performances in the catacombs in St George’s Hall, will be bringing to life some of Liverpool’s darker history on Friday 7th July from 10am – 12 noon.

A team of versatile actors in period costume will transport locals back in time with infamous stories.

The Friday Café was set up using some of the Mayoral Neighbourhood Fund allocation for local Councillors Jeremy Wolfson, Frank Hont and Liz Parsons and has run successfully for more than three years.

Councillor Wolfson said: “We have had some very popular sessions at the Friday Morning Café, but any aspect of local history always attracts a lot of interest and we know from the last time that Love History performed that they were extremely popular.

“This is a real opportunity for people interested in history and dramatic performances to have a taste of historical interpretation at its best.”
