Hollyoaks stars support the 20 Effect

Hollyoaks stars including Sophie Austin and Charlie Clapham lent a hand to show their support for Liverpool’s speed reduction campaign, The 20 Effect.

The 20 Effect aims to heighten residents’ awareness of the dangers of driving at speed, including the often fatal impacts dangerous driving can have on the lives of others.

Sophie and Charlie wrote their message on The 20 Effect Roundel to showcase their support and to encourage other people to get behind the campaign.

Liverpool City Council’s Cabinet Member for Transport, Councillor Tim Moore, said;”A lot of young people watch Hollyoaks and look up to the actors who appear on the show. We need these young people to get on board with the campaign to help bring about change on our residential roads. It’s great to see the show getting behind The 20 Effect and actively showing their support in such a fantastic way.”

The 20 Effect is a campaign run by Liverpool City Council with the backing of Merseyside Police and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, created toSOPHIE AUSTIN influence behaviour change around proposed reduced speed limits on residential roads.
