Don’t be a victim of doorstep crime and how to deal with rogue traders are just a couple of the subjects which will feature at the latest event at a community café.
The Friday Morning Community Café, St David’s Church, Childwall, which is supported by local councillors Jeremy Wolfson, Ruth Hirschfield and Frank Hont, has run successfully for more than three years.
At the next event on 1 April (10am to noon) there will be help, tips and advice on all aspects of home safety.
Among the organisations who will be present are Liverpool City Council, Healthy Homes, Merseyside Police, Age Concern, Alzheimer’s Society and VNC Lifeline.
Councillor Wolfson said: “Home security is a very important issue and one which local residents have told us they want advice about. We held an event on keeping your home secure at the community café last year and it proved to be very popular so we anticipate there will be a lot of interest this time.”
