The latest community event at a church café proved to be extremely popular with local residents.
The Friday café at St David’s Church, Childwall , which is supported by Childwall councillors Jeremy Wolfson, Ruth Hirschfield and Frank Hont, has run successfully for more than two years.
It has introduced a monthly community event held on the first Friday of each month (excluding Good Friday). The latest session offered advice from Trading Standards, Police, the fire service and housing officers on how to keep your home secure.
About 80 residents attended.
Councilor Jeremy Wolfson said: “A lot of helpful advice was handed out to local householders which will help make their homes safer and show how they should deal with rogue traders.
“The attendance at these events has been very good and they show the need for the local community be informed about issues such as this.”
