Hospice’s funds boosted

Woodlands Hospice held a highly succesful Bill Shankly Centenary Sportsmen’s Dinner at Croxteth Hall  raising more than £3,000 for their charity.

The dinner was held to celebrate 100 years since legendary Liverpool manager Shankly’s birth and featured after dinner speakers including Ian Callaghan MBE.

The hospice is in the grounds of Aintree Hospital and provides an invaluable service for terminally ill patients.

The charity will be continuing their association with Croxteth Country Park with their Woofs and Wellies sponsored dog walk on Sunday 22 September.

Croxteth Hall is proving a popular events and function venue, currently being used for a succession of ‘behind the scenes’ Victorian Tours by Lamplight, sell-out Murder Mystery Nights – and soon will be the venue for some of Liverpool’s scariest Halloween events.
