Widespread industrial action will affect many Liverpool City Council services on Thursday 10 July, 2014.
Here is a guide to how the services you use may be affected:
Refuse and recycling
Refuse and recycling collections are not expected to be affected and residents are asked to put out their bins for collection as normal.
Lifestyles fitness centres
It is expected that all Lifestyles centres will be closed with the exception of Lifestyle Cardinal Heenan (4pm-10pm), Croxteth Health & Well Being Centre and Walton Health & Well Being Centre.
Libraries
It is expected that the majority of libraries will be affected by the industrial action taking place, and will either close or have reduced opening hours
Children’s Centres
It is expected that reduced services will be on offer at Children’s Centres and residents are asked to check with their centre direct if unsure.
School closures
We expect the majority of primary, secondary and special schools to be closed. Parents should check with their children’s school.
Adult Learning Centres
The following centres will be closed:
• Newsham Adult Learning Centre
• Park Road Adult Learning Centre
• ALC within Norris Green Sure Start Centre
Granby Adult Learning Centre will be open.
Tourist Information Centres
Liverpool John Lennon Airport Tourist Information Centre will be closed. Albert Dock and Lime Street Tourist Information Centres are likely to be open.
One Stop Shops
All One Stop Shops will be closed apart from the City Centre One Stop Shop at Municipal Buildings, which will be open
