Landlords and letting agents are being given the chance to find out more about their legal duties and responsibilities.
The latest in a series of development sessions will look at the Law of Agency which is based on contract law and will provide an opportunity to find out more about offer, acceptance, and consideration.
The programme is aimed at helping to make properties in the city’s private rented sector be managed to the highest standards.
Councillor Ann O’Byrne, cabinet member for housing, said: “This is the second session to be held as part of the development programme. The first, on health and safety issues, proved to be very popular and those who attended found it very useful.
“Landlords need to be aware of their legal responsibilities and duties and this session will provide them with the relevant information they need.
“We have very good relations with many of the city’s landlords and this is a way in which we are working together to have well-managed property.”
The development session takes place on Tuesday 18 November at Toxteth Annexe Conference Centre, Aigburth Road (9.30am to 1pm).
It costs £40 for CLASS members and £55 for non-members and a four hours Continuous Professional Development Certificate is included in the price.
