Liverpool City Region apprentices have only until 24 April to register and be recognised at the UK’s biggest apprenticeship graduation.
The Apprenticeship Graduation (Liverpool City Region), taking place on 29 April 2014 at Liverpool Cathedral, aims to reward qualified Level 3 and Level 4 NVQ apprentices for their hard work and dedication by giving them the same recognition that university students receive on the completion of a degree.
Whilst graduations are commonplace up and down the country for university students, the Apprenticeship Graduation event is unique in being the first for apprentices in the North West region.
A huge variety of apprentices are set to attend the graduation, from qualified electricians and plumbers to hairdressers and even ice sculptors! Each apprentice will make their way onto the stage at the Cathedral, where they will be awarded a ceremonial certificate in front of their proud family and friends.
The graduation has been organised by The Liverpool City Region Apprenticeship Hub, which is made up of a number of organisations including the six local borough councils, who are all working to elevate the status of apprenticeships in the area.
Due to the high demand, two ceremonies will be held at 2:30pm and 6:30pm so that up to 1,000 apprentices can graduate.
If you are a Level 3 or Level 4 NVQ apprentice who qualified in 2012 or 2013, you can register for the 2:30pm ceremony at apprenticegrad1.eventbrite.co.uk or the 6:30pm ceremony at apprenticegrad2.eventbrite.co.uk
Tickets for the event are free and apprentices can bring a maximum of two guests.
