Chart-favourites pop-rock band, Lawson have today been announced for the upcoming Liverpool ECHO Arena refugee fundraiser concert, helping to raise even more vital funds for British Red Cross.
After bursting onto the music scene in 2012, the four-piece band fronted by lead singer and fellow Liverpudlian, Andy Brown, are delighted to be involved in the show. The band behind Top 10 hits such as ‘Taking Over Me’, ‘Broken-hearted’ and ‘Juliet’ will be taking to the stage as part of ‘With Love from Liverpool’ concert taking place on Saturday 19th September.
Andy Brown, lead singer of Lawson, said:
“When I heard that Liverpool would be the first city to host a charity concert for the refugees, I knew that we had to get involved and show our support for the crisis. I’m just glad that we’ll be doing our bit to help make a difference to those who are suffering right now. We all have to do what we can.
I’m proud to be from Liverpool and even prouder that we’ve been given the chance to lend our support to what’s going to be an amazing concert. What we need now is for all of our brilliant fans to come down to the ECHO Arena and have a great time with us on Saturday night. Not only can we promise a great show, but together we can all make a real difference to those who need us. We love performing in Liverpool and we know that this show is going to be one to remember! Come down and join us!”
Joe Anderson, Mayor or Liverpool, said:
“I’m over the moon that Lawson have taken time out of their incredibly busy touring schedule to come and join us for this amazing concert. I’m thrilled that the lads will be supporting the ‘With Love From Liverpool’ show and that their schedule actually allowed us to have them before they embark on their tour of Australia and New Zealand with Robbie Williams. This really is a great chance to catch them before they head off!”
‘With Love From Liverpool’ will be held on Saturday, 19th September at the ECHO Arena. Doors will open at 6.00pm with the concert starting at 7.00pm. Tickets cost £25 (inclusive of £1.50 booking fee), and are available from www.echoarena.com or by calling 0844 8000 400.
