Perhaps you want to find out about apprenticeship or what voluntary opportunities are available.
All these issues will be covered at a learning roadshow to be held at the Toxteth Fire Fit Hub, Upper Warwick Street, Liverpool 8, on Tuesday 29 November (4.30pm to 8pm).
The roadshow, which is being delivered in partnership with numerous training providers, social landlords and employers such as the police and the army, will provide employment advice and information on courses and learning.
Among the organisations who will be attending are the Crosby Training, Blackburne House, Riverside, Gingerbread, YPAS, Alder Training and the city council’s adult learning service.
They will be giving advice on employment, benefits, apprentice and voluntary work and, information on courses on how to sign up for them. There will also be support on writing CVs and job applications.
To add a touch of glamour to the event beauticians and hair stylists will also be present.
The event is being organised by Kevin O’Leary a Family Link Worker from Wavertree Children’s Centre who is on secondment with the city council promoting adult learning provision across the city Sure Start children’s centres.
Councillor Liz Parsons said: “Anyone from across the city is welcome to attend and there will be of lot of information and advice available. In particular it will offer a choice of routes for our parents/carers to access learning and to get back in to work.”
