A brand new Open Water Swimming event centred around the Endurance Show North West at ACC Convention Centre right in the heart of the iconic Liverpool Waterfront area is taking place during the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon weekend.
Not only is this World Heritage Site a great place to visit in a breathtaking setting, it also offers excellent Open Water swimming on a course where participants will swim passed the Big Wheel, The Beatles Story and finish in the shadow of the Echo Arena – with 2 distances on offer (1 mile Classic and Half Mile Sprint) there is a race for everyone and with celebrity swimmers taking to the water from the sponsors FINIS, it will be an incredible opportunity to swim in the same race as Team GB Olympians!
We are delighted to confirm that Beijing 2008 Olympic Medallist Cassie Patten will be swimming the race WITH the competitors too, so an added bonus.
All finishers will receive a bespoke Liverpool International City Swim Medal and Good Bag
The cost to enter is just £21 for the Sprint (half mile with waves starting from 12:00hrs) and £28 for the Classic (mile with waves starting from 12:30hrs)
