Liverpool’s Lord Mayor will welcome the 250,000th visitor to one of the city’s Tourist Information Centres this week.
At the Lime Street Centre, Lord Mayor, Councillor Erica Kemp CBE will present one lucky traveller with a special souvenir of his or her visit, their very own superlambana.
Councillor Kemp said: “I am delighted to be welcoming the 250,000 visitor to our Tourist Information Centre.
“These centres are vital for providing accurate and up to date information to the many travellers visiting our great city.
“The fact that we are now welcoming our quarter million visitor shows just how important this service is.”
The tourist information centres are currently based at the Albert Dock which opened in 2007, Liverpool John Lennon Airport which opened in 2005 and Lime Street which opened in June 2014. The 250,000th visitor is made up from combined visits for 2014.
