Loving lodge Lane event

Loving Lodge Lane

People living in the Lodge Lane area of Liverpool are being given the chance to show they love their neighbourhood in a special two –day event.

“Loving Lodge Lane” on 20 and 21 June features many community activities, ranging from a behind the scenes look at the Brazilica Festival to finding out about the work of local bee-keepers to a chance to refresh your wardrobe.

But it will also include efforts to make the area cleaner and greener with community litter picks and the chance to get a bargain compost bin.

“This is an opportunity for local people to show they have pride in their neighbourhood and want to see it sparkle, “said Councillor Steve Munby, cabinet member for living environment and localism.

“It is the latest in a series of events in the Liverpool 1578 area which are bringing animation and life to the neighbourhood and which the local communities have shown great support.

“Loving Lodge Lane will involve all sections of the community from young people to local businesses and it is going to be a very exciting event.”
