Makefest returns to Central Library

Liverpool MakeFest, the north-west’s biggest, FREE, family friendly festival celebrating all things ‘makey’ is back at Central Library.

Making its return is Saturday 25 June there will be more than 200 makers showcasing science, technology, creations, inventions and gadgets and hands-on activities, workshops and demonstrations including, coding, hacking and robotics… PLUS the fabulous Mersey ComicCon taking over the first floor this year too we’re looking to make this year’s event the best ever!

Running from 9am-5pm, Liverpool Makefest is a hands-on activity day including during which you could help to sew a bit of a giant octopus or create robots.

There will be super hero outfits a plenty thanks to Merseyside Comic Con and there’s a best costume competition for different ages so come dressed as your favourite superhero or character.

Come and help BBC weather watchers on the roof or create your remotely operated device to dive for buried treasure. Daleks, Stormtroopers, K9 and R2 units will all be there to meet you and we have a welcome return of the Makey Makey orchestra with their musical fruit-so why not pop in?’
