Warbreck Moor is to be made greener for the benefit of local residents.
The Friends of Warbreck Moor will be planting around 200 shrubs in the park on Monday 11 March from 1-3pm. They will be helped by Parks and Greenspaces staff, Liverpool Rangers and Glendale Liverpool Limited.
The shrubs were bought using the Neighbourhood Fund as part of plans to make the area greener.
Councillor Peter Mitchell, Mayoral Lead for Parks, said: “Warbreck Moor Park is a much valued green oasis, a place to play and relax in our community, which makes a big contribution to our health and wellbeing.
“Improving the park will make it more attractive as a place to visit, as well as enhancing the environment for local wildlife.”
