Match-day parking issues at park.

The Deputy Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor Ann O’Byrne has issued the following statement regarding parking at Walton Hall Park during the Everton game on Sunday 23 August.

“Alt Valley Community Trust, operators of the Walton Hall Park Sports Centre, have managed match day parking at the facility since 2013.

“The money generated through the parking goes directly to the running costs of the Sports Centre in Walton Hall Park.

“It was made clear to AVCT when they began the car parking scheme that cars are to park in designated parking bays only. Once all the marked bays are full, the car park is to be closed. Cars categorically cannot park outside of designated parking bays.

“A senior council officer has written to the Chief Executive of AVCT this morning and a meeting has been arranged this week to ensure that the issues witnessed on Sunday 23rd August do not happen again.”
