Bemrose Mobile, the company behind “Phone and Pay” parking in Liverpool, has announced it will be doing its bit to help shoppers during the run-up to Christmas.
The company is offering its services free throughout December, in all parking areas where Phone and Pay operates.
Paying for parking via phone, SMS or Smartphone application means motorists do not display a ticket indicating the length of time they intend to be away from their vehicle. It also means if they are staying in town longer than they thought, they can simply phone or text to extend their parking.
There is normally a minimum charge of 20p for the service, but Phone and Pay is writing this off for the festive period to help put a little extra money in the pockets of local people who use the service when parking.
Motorists will still need to pay the normal parking tariff.
