The Merseyside Police and Crime Panel is looking to appoint two people from Merseyside to serve on the panel from autumn this year until May 2016.
Merseyside’s first directly-elected Police and Crime Commissioner will be in post from November 2012 and it will be the role of the panel to hold the Commissioner to account for their decision-making and performance.
