Liverpool City Council is urging people to have a safe Christmas.
Citysafe is a local partnership aiming to build ‘safer, stronger communities & reduce crime and anti-social behaviour’. They have implemented measures to ensure the people of Liverpool have a safe Christmas.
Measures include having taxi marshalls stationed at the busiest taxi ranks and more late night buses and trains so everyone can get home quickly and safely.
They are also clamping down on the supply and sale of counterfeit & dangerous goods, asking people to consider their purchases carefully, online and in store. They advise people that ‘if it’s too good to be trueâ¦it probably is.’
Citysafe are also urging people to look out for their own safety, asking them to remember to follow these simple guidelines:
• Don’t leave valuables or gifts on show in your car
• Drink sensibly and get home safely
• Don’t let thieves be aware of your possessions
• Leave a light on at home while out at night
