From 9th January to the end of February, Binns Road will be closed from Crawford Way to Edge lane. Binns Road will also be closed from Edge Lane toward Crawford Way – with access for vehicles to United Biscuits and Montrose Retail Park only.
Motorists are advised to consider using alternative routes in to and out of the city and are also advised to allow extra time to complete their journeys.
A spokesperson for Currie and Brown, the planners working alongside Liverpool City Council and developer The Derwent Group, which is delivering the £100m transformation of Edge Lane Retail Park into Liverpool Shopping Park, said: “We are doing all we can to minimize disruption by keeping Edge Lane as free flowing as possible during peak times. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause motorists travelling in and out of Liverpool and urge them to consider using alternative routes where possible.
“We are working closely with the developer and the contractor under the supervision of the city council, to improve the roads in this area as part of Liverpool City Council’s Better Roads campaign.”
Some changes to pedestrian routes are also required:
The footpath on Binns road to the rear of B&Q, will be closed from 16th January 2017. Diversion signs will be in place.
The footpath on Binns road from the corner of Crawford Way, will be closed from 9th January till 20th February 2017. Access to United Biscuits will be from Edge Lane only.
