This weekend sees the city host the fifth Rock’n’Roll Liverpool Marathon with more than 20,000 runners taking part, including over 1,000 from overseas.
The marathon will take place on Sunday 20 May, with the route taking in the historic waterfront, our two premier League football grounds, several of the cities incredible parks and numerous other iconic locations.
The event has grown to include a runners Expo, 5k, ½ Marathon, Full Marathon and 1 Mile Fun Run.
There will be a band, DJ or performer at every mile giving the whole day a carnival atmosphere, as well as live music on the main stage at ACC Liverpool’s piazza, with legendary Liverpool band Space headlining.
