The BT Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Marathon and Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 25th May, 2014.
The event will see 8,000 participants from across the United Kingdom and from over 35 foreign countries pounding the streets of the city.
The races is a celebration of the city – its culture, landmarks and communities. Runners and communities along the course will be treated to music stages throughout the course.
The races will start at Salthouse Quay at the Albert Dock, before travelling past many of Liverpool’s major landmarks such as the Three Graces, Mathew Street, both football clubs, China Town and the beautiful green spaces such as Stanley Park and Sefton Park.
The final part of the route takes runners along the waterfront before finishing at the Liverpool Echo Arena.
At the finish line there will be a free to access post race concert that is open for runners, their spectators and the people of Liverpool. Local residents are also welcome to enjoy any of the entertainment around the course.

Road Closures
From 4:00am, Police and event personnel will begin to implement closures along the race course. The half marathon starts at 8am, and the full marathon at 9am. Streets will reopen on a rolling basis after the last participant has passed and course support materials have been removed. Delays and diversions can be expected until 4:00pm.
Throughout the races, stewards will be at all junctions to support motorists with diversion routes and information.
Residents and businesses located near the race course are urged to plan ahead and to be aware of road closure schedules and alternate access routes.
