The world renowned Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will be opening LIMF Summer Jam on Friday from 6.30PM on 22nd July in what will be a spectacular performance entitled ‘Music City: Reimagined’.
Showcasing many of the defining songs that came from the city of Liverpool and impacted the world, the fully orchestral set will feature music from John Lennon to Frankie Goes to Hollywood to Cilla Black and everything in between and will be a rare and unmissable night in the North West’s summer calendar.
What’s more, Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Company and LIMF Academy are joining forces for the first time to showcase the work of LIMF Academy’s current young artists and provide opportunity for cross-genre and style performance for Liverpool Philharmonic’s classically trained young musicians. Composer Kate Chadburn will work with the four artists on three songs each: two original compositions and one cover of a Liverpool artist and band, to create a truly unique performance. The four LIMF Academy artists are XamVolo, Eleanor Nelly, SUEDEBROWN and Amique.
