The third Local Offer LIVE event is taking place at The Liverpool Guild of Students at the University of Liverpool on Wednesday 5 July 2023 from 12 – 7pm.
The event is a partnership between Liverpool City Council and LivPaC (Liverpool Parents and Carers) and is a great opportunity for parents, caregivers, and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to meet with different service providers and organisations that can offer support and guidance.
The focus on preparation for adulthood is particularly important, as it is a time when young people with SEND may face additional challenges as they transition into and from education, training, or employment.
Attending the event can provide a chance to learn about various services and resources that are available to help young people with SEND prepare for adulthood. This could include information about community activities, training, employment support, and independent living skills, as well as the support available throughout a young person’s journey. The event may also offer a chance to network and connect with other families and individuals that are in similar situations, and also with professionals from education, social care and health.
Whether you are a parent or carer, a young person with SEND, or simply an interested community member, mark July 5 in your calendar and join us at the Local Offer LIVE.
The Guild can be found at 160 Mount Pleasant, Liverpool, L3 5TR.
