A clean up day will take place in Hunts Cross on Friday 20 March.
As part of the ongoing work being done by the Allerton and Hunts Cross Councillors to make the area cleaner and greener, Hunts Cross will have a spring clean.
The Neighbourhood Action Team will be undertaking a litter pick as well as replanting the flower tubs around Hunts Cross and in the Community Garden.
Community skips will also be provided for residents to have a clear out just in time for the warm weather!
Councillor Rachael O’Byrne (pictured) said: ‘We are working closely with the council neighbourhood action team, residents and local social housing providers to improve our community. Throughout the year we provide community skips as they reduce flytipping and are useful for residents who don’t have access to a car, so can’t take items to a tip.
“Alongside this walkabouts take place regularly with the neighbourhood team to look at how we can collectively improve street cleansing, road safety and community safety.
“It’s been great to see the impact this work has had and it’s always great to get feedback from residents on how we can continue to improve our community.”

The clean up day has been funded by the Councillors Neighbourhood Fund and LMH.
