The spring equinox is being celebrated by the Syrian Kurdish community in Princes Park on Tuesday 20 March.
Newroz is the Kurdish celebration of the Persian new year holiday.
The event will include traditional music and dance and is taking place near the children’s playground.
Katy Gardner, Chair of the Friends of Princes Park, said: “Princes Park is one of the most diverse wards in the city and this is a great opportunity for all local people, regardless of their background, to come together and celebrate the spring equinox in our beautiful park.”
All are welcome from 3pm onwards.
